Synopsis

Not as bad as I thought it would be. Thornton is his usual self here. No acting was really required, yet it worked.
The story has been done to death. Some guy forced to coach some kids at a sport (Mighty Ducks etc etc). Guy learns life lesson and kids are happy. Yadda yadda yadda.

Still, not too bad

I don't remember the original well enough to compare. I remember watching it several times as a kid, but don't remember the details.
