Okay Darrell, you have to get over your Michael Douglas fixation and get real. This blew more chunks than Campbell's soup. Overly long drawn out 'great white hunter' flick that bored me to tears. (With Val Kilmer in another shitty film! Surprise, surprise!) The parts with the animatronic lions were SO bad, it looked like that Monty Python skit where the purposefully bad-looking stuffed lion is thrown at a guy and they wrsetle around in the sand. THAT was funny. THIS was pathetic. Just cause you brushed shoulders with Douglas in McDonalds doesn't make him a great actor. I saw the band The Box in a McDonalds once in Montreal, and where are they now? Eating fries somewhere with Michael Douglas while they all embrace and sing "Closer Together!" Losers. Well Darrell, would you like to present your rebuttal? (Ewwwww....)

...more like Ghost and the CRAP! I remember waiting 1 1/2 hours for the damn lion to come charging out of the mist. Ooops, sorry: **SPOILER** ..and it did. Then it ended. Then I went to bed. Papa Mikey!

Firstly, you are both off your rocker. Mitch only posted this to get a rise out of me because he knows how much I love this movie. Firstly, I own this one, and have seen it too many times to remember. Secondly I met Michael Douglas, so he's pretty much on my favorite list. Thirdly, this is a great story (based on a true story), thought it was one of Val's better roles/movies. (Even better than Iceman in Top Gun).

Look out Val! RRrrooooaaarrrr!!!! (Actual lion from the movie) ![]()

BRAVO (sarcasm off). Just when you thought there were no more funny pinata pics on the web. Mitch defies the odds and posts this one. I'm in my office busting a gut laughing over this one !!! PS. I really should have given this 4 stars not 3 1/2. What was I thinking?

POL! This movie is a constant bone of contention between Deril and I. Last week we checked out the archival review on the Siskel and Ebert site (I hadn't heard their opinions on this yet), and Ebert is the MAN! He pretty much echoed my sentiments and said something to the effect of, "...looked like someone took a phony stuffed lion's head and was shaking it at the camera..." Man, I laughed my ass off and Deril was SO in disbelief! RAWR!! (Geez, even Jumanji was better than this!)

I can't believe I never rated this movie! I liked it a lot. Great story, good acting, takes place in Africa... What's not to like?
