Rented this Disney "classic" with the kids this weekend. I havn't seen it in years and remembered very little. It is REALLY cornball & lame, but the kids couldn't take their eyes off the screen. My son really likes it (even though he calls it "Pizza Dragon"). Some of the songs are actually quite good and catchy. Compared to Avatar which I saw 2 days ago, all I can say is that the technology of animation in films has come a Loooooooong way (as this animation is pretty shite).

On a plus side, it had MICKEY ROONEY! (playing the town drunk)

"Jiminy Jilikers!"

Weird: I'd been thinking a lot about this film recently. The song "It's Not Easy" has been stuck in my head off-and-on now for most of a month, for whatever reason, and has brought back a nostalgic flood of the number of times I saw this as a kid.
It's been forever since I've seen it in its entirety, and as a kid I always found it hit a sad/bittersweet note that made me not want to watch it again, yet I always would (I think it was on The Wonderful World Of Disney like, twice a month).
I think it's long overdue that someone made a film called 'Pizza Dragon':)
