Ah, classic childrens' programming, as narrated by Ringo Starr!
Anyone ever have to sit and watch these? If you have kids, then the answer is surely, 'SIGH.....yes'.
I know it's for toddlers, but how frickin' boring can a kids' show get? It's dull and mundane, and all the trains look the same. How kids know the difference between Gordon and Toby is beyond me (the answer, of course, is that Toby is square).
The 'animation', if you can call it that, is cheap and plastic, unlike the toys, which are expensive and plastic. (You ever buy one of those things? It's like $30.00 for a thumb-sized train car! Buy the whole set!)
Incidentally, I know all this because of my niece/nephews, not because I'm an avid collector/fanboy *ahem Rob ahem*
The trains' mouths don't even move when they speak. It is the stuff nightmares are made of.
No doubt these trains will take over the Earth (pictured).

Man o man do I hate this show. My older boy loved this when he was 2 and we actually went The Island of Sodor (aka St. thomas ontario) to see the "real" Thomas The Tank Engine. It's all just so f**king booooooooring and as Mitch mentioned, poorly done to boot. My house is filled with Thomas toys, train sets, clothes, flash lights...you name it we've got it.
In the past month or so, my little guy (now 1.5 years old) is HOOKED on this crap and watches over and over and over and over...........Makes me wish i was blind and deaf.

Is it bombable? Well for me it is, but the fact that it keeps the boy quiet for hours on end has to be worth something just for that. Honestly the kids all love it and it's one of the few things that all three kids will sit and watch together without compplaining (the other beinf Spongebob, Simpsons, Bugs Bunny & futurama).

Oh, it looks good on YOU though (eye roll)

What's your rating of this movie?
