Darrell and I used to rent this over and over as kids. I haven't even seen it in a video store for about 15 years, so I'd love to watch it again and see if it holds up. I'm sure it'll be kinda corny now, but we used to quote it verbatim way back when. The plot was essentially Wilder as a Rabbi in the old West who for some reason had to get to San Fransisco by a certain day for some reason but he could only travel by foot on the Sabbath and Ford had to accompany him for some reason and in the end they respect each other yadda yadda yadda......

Well, finally rewatched this tonight, after about 15 years, as previously stated.
It IS kinda corny, and it's more gimmicky and cute than laugh-out-loud funny, and it's a bit long, but it definitely has its charm. A little overdramatic and shmaltzy at times, but nu? What's not to like?
