"Don't go in there Szpilman! There's Nazis in there! Oh, Man, I WARNED you Szpilman! You're my boy, Szpilman!" -Tracy Morgan, SNL

You KNOW I am just about incapable of giving a bad review to a movie about the holocaust... (except for Swing Kids, that was terrible!)
| ||
Excellent movie. Mitch now calles my dog Shpillman...and the dog actually responds to it. Here Shpilman, who wants a cookie? Good Boy!
| ||
I also call him 'Belosh' and he responds to that too. I can't wait to see what crazy names your so-to-be-born child will respond to! "Stop calling our child 'Smooth Jimmy Appollo'!" - Anat
| ||
So Mitch, Now that Sydney is born, what do you call her? Can't think of anything off hand. Now I have to go walk Belosh

Deril, you should tell the story of inviting Adrien Brody for Passover...
| ||
It's hard to write the story...easier to say it verbally, but here it goes. First off, this movie is Anat's mother's FAVORITE. As depressing as it is, she's seen it 20-30 times AT LEAST. She LOVES adrien Brody. Anat's sister Sally was at a club downtown Montreal and actually met Brody. She phoned home to tell her mom, and the first thing her mom says (in a thick Spanish accent) is "Did you invite him for Passover??!!" (please note that this happened about a month BEFORE Passover. I guess she just wanted to have adequate prep time. Sally replied "WTF??"" "sorry mom, my first reaction was NOT to invite him for Passover" Anat's mother was very upset that the offer wasn't made and it still comes up from time to time....true story! |
